STAFF - How to manage Spam Email (Fusemail)
Arts University Bournemouth automatically filters inbound emails against spam, bulk and potential virus email for which a small percentage of ‘true’ emails may be isolated by mistake, due to the rules and criteria utilized. To publish isolated emails, the University has implemented an automatic email which is posted at 7:00am and 13:00 from a hosted system called ‘Fusemail’.
This email enables staff to check their own isolated mail against sender, subject and date and then allows to safely ‘Preview’ any quarantined email or ‘Allow & Release’ which enable the email to be sent to the users inbox (See below for example of 'allow and release').
We recommend that the 'Fusemail' messages are checked on a daily basis in case a 'true' email has been isolated by mistake. This can be done by either viewing the daily notification email that shows all of your current isolated emails or by going to the footer of the 'Fusemail' email that indicates 'Login to control panel' from which searches for emails can be made.
If you choose not to use the fusemail system to review isolated email, quarantined email will automatically be deleted after 30 calendar days from when they arrived.
How to release mail from the Fusemail filtering system:
1. Search for "Fusemail"

2. Select the email that you wish to allow from the fusemail portal

3. Use the below buttons to either release the one email, allow the sender to send you further mail or select "Allow and Release" to allow the sender to continue sending you mail and to release the email from the filtering
